The Realme X is finally here it’s almost everything we have expected. But, I need to make one thing clear first. It’s not a Flagship device by any means. But, it’s quite a step-up from what we’ve come to expect from Realme. It has a beautiful AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint scanner, a pop-up selfie camera, 20W fast charging & even 960 fps super-slow motion capabilities. These all sound like flagship-level features but, the SOC is actually a Snapdragon 710. However, that’s the reason it costs quite less too. Anyway, here are the specifications for the device,

Till this point, these specs look pretty good considering this is a mid-range device. Realme also included a USB-C port this time. So, that was a nice touch considering the fact that they have been using Micro-USB till now.
There were a couple of other modern touches added to the Realme X. The first one is the 16 Megapixel pop-up camera. It kinda gives the device a modern approach. Talking about modern, there is also an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. The 48 Megapixel sensor is the same which can be found in new flagships so, that’s kinda impressive too.
Overall, Realme has played their cards well this time. Maybe the SOC could have been a little higher end but, other than that it looks like a good bang for the buck. Oh sorry! I haven’t mentioned the prices yet. The Realme X starts at 1499 Yuan (about 15.3K INR) for the 4GB, 64GB model in China. The 6GB, 64GB model will cost 1599 yuan ( about 16.3K INR) & the 8GB, 128GB model will cost 1799 Yuan (about 18.3K INR).
They have also announced a Realme X Lite which is kinda like a Realme 3 Pro for China. It starts at 1199 Yuan (about 12.2K INR). There is a Realme X Master Edition as well with a slightly different design signature compared to the regular gradient finish. That variant will only be available at the 8GB, 128GB configuration. The Realme X will be making its way to India pretty soon & the pricing should be attractive as well.
